Purpose of the Platform
The "EXYPIRETO" platform serves as the central digital hub linking the social services of the City of Athens with civil society organizations and public entities. The goal of "EXYPIRETO" is to create a vibrant ecosystem of solidarity, ensuring that information regarding available structures and support programs reaches citizens in need promptly and reliably.
Values Framework & Participation Criteria
"EXYPIRETO" is not merely an information directory; it is a network founded on the principles of social contribution. Entities joining the network agree to uphold the following principles:
- Information Integrity: We commit to posting exclusively true and accurate information. In the event of a suspension or modification to a service (e.g., program expiration, schedule change), we shall update the platform within 48 hours.
- Equal & Universal Access: The provision of assistance to citizens is governed by the principles of impartiality and respect for diversity. Every beneficiary shall be treated with dignity, without discrimination based on gender, origin, religion, or sexual orientation.
- Confidentiality & Ethics: We handle beneficiaries' information with the strictest confidentiality, adhering to privacy rules and GDPR standards, while ensuring no exposure of vulnerable individuals.
- Collaborative Ethics: We operate supportively toward the other entities in the network. The platform is not a field for competition but a tool for effectively addressing the city's social gaps.
- Non-Profit Orientation: Services registered on the platform that are intended for vulnerable groups must be provided free of charge, without hidden fees or financial exploitation of the citizens' needs.
Data Responsibility & Limitation of Liability
For the smooth operation of the platform, the accuracy of information is crucial:
- Content Responsibility: Each partner entity bears sole responsibility for the validity, completeness, and correctness of the data they post (e.g., hours of operation, required documents, service availability).
- Regular Updates: Entities are required to update their data immediately in case of changes, and at least once every six (6) months. The City of Athens is not responsible for any inaccuracies that may lead to the misinformation of citizens.
- Platform Usage: The platform is provided "as is," and the City bears no responsibility for any temporary unavailability or technical issues due to unforeseen factors.
Personal Data Protection (GDPR)
Data security is our priority. We assure users and entities that:
- The management of all data (personal or sensitive) is carried out in full compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Law 4624/2019, which implements these measures into the Greek legal framework.
- Appropriate technical and organizational measures are implemented to prevent unauthorized access, loss, or misuse of information.
- Data is used exclusively for the purpose of social service and is not disclosed to third parties for commercial purposes.
